Queen’s recording of "Now I’m Here" is a high-voltage affair, bursting out of the gate with a lone, chugging guitar riff that soon flowers into a stomping rocker that is peppered with Queen’s choir-like vocal harmonies and overdubbed bits of squalling guitar at strategic points. Freddie Mercury rides this guitar-dominated wall of sound.

Recorded at a live performance in Nashville, it's an inspiring display of Beverly's vocal talents; fellow Warner Alliance artist O'Landa Draper directs the choir. This song was inspired by a tour in the USA in where Queen supported the band Mott the Hoople. These lyrics contain a line "Down in the city, just Hoople and me". "Now I'm Here" was fittingly one of the first songs Brian May recorded after he returned from hospital where he had been recovering from hepatitis for a long time.
